An evening of contemporary, traditional, folk and classical music brought to the stage at the Historic Old Church in downtown Portland, Or. by classically trained soprano Inessa Karakuts Crown. Prior to settling in the Portland/Vancouver area, Inessa, after receiving her formal vocal training in Moscow, performed throughout her native Russia and other European cities. She will perform a selection of songs, singing in both Russian and English.

Joining Inessa on stage is Jim Fischer, one of Portland/Vancouver's pre-eminent piano players. On the music scene in Vancouver and Portland since the 1970's, Jim has a wide range of musical styles under his fingers and maintains an extensive repertoire; from popular to jazz, to original compositions, to concerts, to dueling pianos, to cruise ship piano bar entertaining, and more. Jim will accompany Inessa as well as performing a medly of favorite standards and several original pieces.
